Your faculty advisers hail from a variety of academic departments and are your primary source of course enrollment support during the first three terms here in Forbes. They also serve as caring members of your new scholarly community who would love to work with you to explore your interests and build meaningful connections with your course instructors and preceptors.
PAAs are trained peer leaders who offer advice on classes, workloads, and the trajectory toward majors and certificates. Peer Academic Advisers are a crucial resource for you during Orientation Week, but they also play an important role in mentoring throughout your first and second year. They develop and facilitate a variety of programs over the course of the year, including advising fairs, finals preparation sessions, study breaks, academically related college events, and other advising opportunities.
Dean Du and Dean Caddeau are your catch-all advisers and can address all of your academic questions ranging from "where do I sign up for courses?" to "how do I connect my interests to possible majors and opportunities beyond Princeton?" They can also match you up with peer tutors in subjects not covered by the McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning, and offer many helpful tips and insights on building a successful undergraduate experience!
