Dear Members of the Forbes Community:

We are very excited to share with you the wonderful news that Dr. Fang Du will be joining us as the new Assistant Dean of Forbes College later this month.

Dean Du comes to Princeton from Rutgers University, where she served as assistant dean of academic advising for the School of Arts and Sciences before becoming assistant dean for curriculum integration in the Rutgers’ Office of Global Study Abroad.   Dean Du received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of International Relations, Beijing China, and her Ph.D. in Higher Education Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota.  Dean Du has an outstanding record of accomplishment in academic advising, evaluation, and assessment, combined with a deep commitment to student support and engagement.

Dr. Du’s appointment as Assistant Dean of Forbes will begin on August 22. I will be working closely with her as we prepare for the coming academic year.  Please join me and Professor Garlock in welcoming Dr. Fang Du to the advising team in Forbes College!

Should you have any questions about academic programs in Forbes prior to the start of the fall term please do not hesitate to reach out to Dean Caddeau.  We are eager for you all to meet Dr. Du at events in the college as she settles in to her new position at Princeton, advising first and second year students in Forbes.
