I’m a second year Molecular Biology graduate student in the MD/PhD program here at Princeton University and Rutgers/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
A bit about me: I grew up in Washington Township, NJ, about 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia. In undergrad at Dickinson College, I double-majored in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and in Biology, minored in German, played in the orchestra, and ran track. After college, I spent a year as a Fulbright scholar conducting research in Munich, Germany, followed by two more years of research at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. I then enrolled in this MD/PhD program and since have completed the first two years of medical school, as well as the first year of my PhD. Only 5 more years to go…! I’m currently researching bacterial persisters, a common cause of chronic, relapsing infections.
Outside of school, I love spending time outdoors and being active (running, yoga, exercise in general). I also love cooking and baking, and watching the Food Network. I’m living in A437 Courtyard Annex, so stop by any time to chat! Looking forward to meeting all of you!
