Hello, my name is Collin Riggins, and I am a junior from Kansas City, MO. I am a proud African American Studies major, and I am pursuing minors in Visual Arts and Statistics & Machine Learning. As evident by my academic path, I am super interested in black culture and how it intersects with both art and data simultaneously. Outside of class, I am a research associate in Ruha Benjamin’s Just Data Lab, a Fields Fellow at the lovely CAF Center, and a co-host for the African American Studies Department’s podcast. Beyond that, you can probably catch me creating or consuming some form of art, be it producing a short film or catching a jazz show. I am always looking to chop it up about these things (preferably over some good food), so please feel free to reach out!!
