Bio/Description

Welcome to Forbes! Though I have been at Princeton for seven years, this will be my first year as the Forbes Faculty Fellow in Residence. I am looking forward to meeting you, and I hope we can spend some time cooking in the Pink House, working in the garden next to Forbes, and talking about math over dinner.

I was born and grew up in Venezuela. I completed my undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Oxford, and then I moved to Princeton, where I did my Ph.D., also in Mathematics, and now work as a Lecturer. I do very little research and instead largely focus on redesigning and teaching math courses for non-math majors.

Many of you will go through our Calculus sequence during your first year or two at Princeton. These classes can be challenging, but we are always eager to help our students succeed. When you see me in the Forbes dining hall, please don’t hesitate to come up and ask me any questions you may have about the math you're thinking about; all questions from placement to homework to small details from class are welcome!
