Welcome to Forbes!
I look forward to the opportunity of getting to know each of you and helping you become a better version of yourself during your time here at Forbes and Princeton! I am originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL and I joined the Forbes and Princeton team in August 2021, serving as the Director of Student Life.
For over 9 years, I have worked in higher education, recently serving as the Director of Residential Life and Housing at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). During my time at NSU, I was able to manage and oversee the residential experience for each of our residential communities. In addition, I received my Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Higher Education Leadership at NSU and completed my dissertation titled “Oh to be Young, Gifted, Gay, and Black: The Campus Experiences and Familial Support of Black Gay Men While in College”. My research focuses on institutional and familial experiences that influence the academic success of multiple minority students.
I attended the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, FL, where I received my B.S. in Public Health and Valdosta State University (VSU) in Valdosta, GA, receiving my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. I reside in Princeton with my partner, Manny, and our dog, Loki. As citizens of the world, we enjoy traveling together and have visited several countries, including Mexico, Colombia, and South Africa. We also enjoy binge-watching shows on Netflix, including The Crown, Bridgerton, and The Umbrella Academy, to name a few!
As you will soon learn, I love getting to know others, and my door is always open for you to stop by! I recognize the importance of this new experience and aim to serve as an ally and resource in your success here at Princeton. Welcome to the Inn and I look forward to our work together!
