Greetings and welcome to Forbes! I am so excited to join the Forbes community as your new Assistant Dean for Student Life (ADSL). To tell you a little about myself, my name is Michelle Smith and I am from the Bronx, New York, born and raised! I attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication (this will make sense once you get to know me), and Hofstra University where I earned my M.S. Ed in Higher Education Administration and Policy Studies. Prior to joining the Princeton team, I’ve held several roles in housing and residence life, academic advisement, student leadership and development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion at SUNY Maritime College.

When I’m not at work or on campus, I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting local coffee shops, and spending more money on home décor than my partner would prefer! I am also a doula in training and an advocate for maternal health education.
