Welcome to Forbes!
I look forward to another great year in the Forbes College community. My goal is to meet everyone in our great community and to serve as resource and support to all of our students. I want to help you maximize your Forbes College and Princeton experience. I provide support for students on a variety of issues (nothing is too big or too small) as you navigate life here at Princeton; you can come talk to me about anything that is on your mind and going on in your life. My door is always open! Please feel free to pop into my office to say hi or grab some candy. I truly look forward to getting to know you.
To share a little about myself, I am originally from the U.S. but grew up in Ghana and Costa Rica. Costa Rica is where I call home and my family still lives there. I received my B.A. from The George Washington University in Political Science and Hispanic Literature, and my M.S. from Colorado State University in Student Affairs in Higher Education. Prior to coming to Princeton, I served in a variety of roles at Colorado State University, International House NYC, and most recently, at Marymount Manhattan College as the Director of Student Development & Activities. My experiences include work in residential education, diversity and inclusion, leadership development, and international student services. I take a holistic approach to student development and actively work to promote and foster a culture of inclusion where students feel supported to succeed, have a sense of belonging, and feel that they matter. My professional interests include access to higher education, identity development (particularly that of the global nomad, multiracial, and multicultural individuals), intercultural communication, and social justice training and development.
Outside of work, I love to travel, I collect Starbucks mugs, I am usually in the middle of a book, I listen to a lot podcasts, love to talk social justice, and I enjoy all things health and wellness, including spinning, running, yoga, mindfulness, and cooking. If you have a great podcast recommendation, send it my way! I live in Princeton, New Jersey with my partner, Dan, and our dog, Sani (pronounced Sunny). I am sure you will see us in the dining hall!
I look forward to meeting you!
