Forbes Library

The Norman Thomas 1905 Library at Forbes College is located in the basement of the New Wing. During the summer of 2016, 8 new study carrels were added to provide additional private, quiet spaces for studying. The carrels are equipped with overhead lamps and electrical outlets for your laptops, phones, and/or tablets.

There is a small media lab in the library with two iMacs, three PCs and printer. The library also has larger tables for spreading out if you're working on a big project or want to study with a group. Or you can sit back in an easy chair and read.

There also several smaller study rooms in Forbes.

To report a problem with computers or printer in the library's media lab, call OIT at 609-258-HELP or email  [email protected].

The McGraw Digital Learning Lab now provides two Mac Studio computers for any student to use in Forbes College Media Room, next to the Library. These computers provide access to the full range of software offered by the Digital Learning Lab, which is located in 130 Lewis Library. The software available includes the entire Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Premiere, Photoshop, and Audition, Apple creative software including Final Cut and Logic, 3D software like Blender and Rhino, and a collection of coding tools including VS Code, RStudio, and tools for COS 126.

These Mac Studio Computers are provided by the Digital Learning Lab and loaded with a collection of digital media software. For assistance, email [email protected] or visit the DLL in 130 Lewis Library.
